Privacy Policy
What we collect when you contact us, why we have it, and what we do with it.

We respect your privacy
Ollie’s Marketing is a content marketing agency based in Brisbane. This page explains how we handle the personal information you give us, and what you can do about it.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and we handle your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site. Both our enquiry form and our booking form ask for the same things:
- Your first name and last name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your business name
- Your industry
- Whatever you tell us in the message field
Only your first name and email address are required. Everything else is optional, and a form submitted without them still reaches us.
If you arrived at the booking form by clicking one of our package cards, the form also records which package you clicked.
We do not buy or receive personal information about you from anybody else. What our website collects on its own — and what changes when we add measurement tools — is set out under Our website below.
How we collect it
You give it to us. There is no other route — we collect nothing passively beyond the standard server records described under Our website below.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, to work out whether we are a fit for what you need, and to quote on the work if we are.
We also add your enquiry to our internal sales system, so that we have a record of the conversation and can pick it up again if you come back to us later.
We do not add you to a mailing list because you enquired. You will only receive marketing email from us if you have subscribed to it, or if you have told us you are interested in a particular service and we think what we are sending is genuinely relevant to that. Every marketing email we send carries a way to stop receiving them, and you can also just tell us to stop — email info@olliesmarketing.com.au and that is the end of it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. Three services handle it in the course of getting it to us and keeping it:
- Web3Forms
- Processes the form submission and emails it to us. Everything you type into a form passes through them.
- Google Workspace
- Our email. Your enquiry lands in a Google-hosted mailbox and stays there.
- Vercel
- Hosts this website and keeps standard server records — see below.
- Our sales system
- Holds the record of your enquiry so we can follow it up. It stores your information in Australia.
Three of those four are overseas providers — Web3Forms, Google Workspace and Vercel — so your personal information is stored on servers outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, but we cannot control what a foreign provider does under the laws of its own country. Our sales system stores your information in Australia.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for five years, whether or not the enquiry became work. After that they are deleted.
If you would rather we did not keep yours that long, ask us and we will delete it — see below.
How we keep it safe
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to the mailbox your enquiry arrives in is limited to Ollie’s Marketing staff and protected by the account security Google provides.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can say is that we collect as little as we can get away with, which is the only protection that never fails.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@olliesmarketing.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
There is no charge for asking. If we cannot give you what you have asked for, we will tell you why in writing.
Our website
Our host keeps standard server records of requests to this site, which include IP addresses. These are used to keep the site running and secure, not to identify you.
We store your light or dark mode choice in your own browser. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Google Analytics also sets cookies in your browser. Unlike the setting above, these do leave your device — they are how we count visits and see which pages get read. There is more on this under Measurement and advertising tools below.
Measurement and advertising tools
We use Google Analytics to understand how this site is used. We may from time to time also use advertising tags from platforms such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn, to see how well our advertising works.
Where we use them, they may collect your IP address, the pages you visit, how you arrived here, and general information about your device and browser. Some set cookies in your browser. Some allow the platform to recognise you if you also hold an account with them, and to show you our advertising elsewhere.
You can limit this. Your browser can block or delete cookies, and Google, Meta and LinkedIn each provide ad settings in your account with them. Blocking them does not stop you using this site.
Embedded content
Our About page includes a map from Google Maps. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and the fact that you were on that page, whether or not you interact with it, and may set its own cookies. This is Google’s processing rather than ours, and Google’s privacy policy governs it.
This site also links out to other websites — our social profiles, our clients’ work, and our Google Business listing. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, and their privacy policies apply once you leave here.
All of these are overseas services, so information they collect leaves Australia.
If you have a complaint
Tell us first. Email info@olliesmarketing.com.au with what happened and we will look into it.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the regulator for the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Their details are at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will change this page and update the date below. We will not quietly broaden what we do with information already given to us.
