Marketing consulting

You have the resources. What you do not have is a decision about where to point them. Ninety days, zero to one.

What it covers

What does a consulting engagement cover?

Where to play

Which market and which segment — and the ones to leave to somebody else.

What to say

The position, and the words that carry it consistently once other people start using them.

Which channels

Where effort actually returns, given what you sell and who buys it.

What to spend

Where the resources go first, and what waits until the first thing has proved itself.

How to measure

What tells you it is working before revenue does, so you are not flying on a lagging number.

What to stop

The choices taken off the table. This is the one most people skip, and the one that frees the capacity to do anything properly.

How it runs

How do the 90 days run?

Ninety days, four stages. The point is a decision you can act on, not a document that gets filed and admired.

1. Diagnose

Days 1–15. Where the business actually is, what it has already tried, and what is genuinely available to deploy.

2. Narrow

Days 15–45. A thousand options become three. Most of the value is in what comes off the list.

3. Decide

Days 45–60. One of the three, with the reasoning written down so the decision survives the next good idea somebody has.

4. Execute

Days 60–90. Zero to one — the first version live, and a plan for what follows it. Execution beats planning.

Who is this for?

For businesses and start-ups overwhelmed by options and stuck on direction rather than capacity. Out of a thousand choices, three are normally the best. We help you get to one of those three.

It is a different problem from the one the other services solve. Those are for businesses that know what to do and cannot get it done. This is for the business that could do any of it, and needs to know which.

Common questions

Can we do a one-off session, or is it ongoing?

Three shapes: a one-off session, a workshop, or an advisory retainer. Every business arrives with a different need, so the engagement is chosen rather than assumed.

How much does it cost?

Retainers start from A$2,500 a month and project work from A$2,500, both excluding GST. What moves the number is the type, scale and delivery timeline of the work.

What do we get at the end?

A decision, and the reasoning behind it. The 90-day engagement is built to get you from zero to one — the first version live — rather than a strategy document that nobody acts on.

Do you deliver the marketing as well?

Yes, and most clients do exactly that. Consulting settles the direction; social media management and production are what execute it. It is not a condition — plenty of clients take the direction and run it themselves.

Should we bring this in-house instead?

Sometimes. An in-house hire makes sense once marketing is a permanent core capability and the workload is predictable enough to keep someone fully utilised. Before that, you are usually paying for capacity you cannot fill. For many growing businesses hybrid is the strongest end state — internal ownership of brand and strategy, with specialist capability brought in where depth is hard to maintain.

Tell us what isn't getting done.

We'll respond within one business day.

If it's a fit, we'll book a short call, work out what's actually missing, and recommend one package rather than three.

We take on a limited number of new clients each month.
